BrainGear was started by Dr. Maulik Shah. After a successful academic career running a large research laboratory at Saint Louis University, he decided to focus on applied science and research. He coupled that aim with entrepreneurship and his first Start-Up Company was a winner of the Olin Cup, a business formation competition at Washington University. Since then, Dr. Shah has been involved in numerous biotechnology start-ups and transitioned that experience into BrainGear.
